Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Ministries

Ministries are something I have for many years tried to be involved in. Over the years the type or style has changed as different needs has been shown to my heart. Since moving to this area about 2 1/2 years ago I have become involved in a new ministry. That being working with my hands in knitting, or using my sewing machine. It is something I can do and also enjoy doing. It uses my time well and minsters to others in special ways. I have made infant caps for mid-wife kits, military caps, plus caps for kids in Alaska that have ear flaps and I cords and now I'm going to make some prayer shawls. One of my friends here is a parish nurse so she will give out the prayer shawls. I don't do all of the things at one time but usually two of the projects going at one time. I get to pray for people I will likely never met, but it is a blessing to be able to share a gift God gave me that I can help full fill others needs. I like to think of my being a Dorcas.

Baby Jesus-Christ My Saviour

I am so happy that the little babe of Christmas (Jesus) came to earth so many years ago. I'm glad He left His home in glory to grow to the God Man who took my sins upon Him on the cross. I thank you dear Jesus for shedding your blood for my sins. Yes it was 50 years ago this past May that I placed my sins under that blood-confessed my sins-Believing what He said. He shed His blood for the remission of my sins. Praise God. I wish you each a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a Happy New Year!!!

What I'm doing

Wow.
It has been a long time since I have written.
I have been busy.
We have joined the church we have been attending since in March. It is a round trip of 44 miles, but we really feel a part of that family of believers. Great to be members again. We had a harvest dinner there on November 21. Good fellowship and great food. It was at the afternoon service we were voted in as new members.
On Thanksgiving day we were part of the 41 people who joined with others from three communities that meet at a church here to enjoy a traditional turkey dinner and then a afternoon of games. That was fun. I roasted one of the turkeys. Oh my did our house smell nice. Yum!!
This past Sunday we had two couple and a single lady over for lunch after church. We had a really good time.
Tonight we are have two friends over for ham & bean soup. It has been snowing here and we have probably about 2-3 inches of fresh snow. I need to bake a cake for tonight. I'm going to make applesauce-raisin cake.(my Mom's recipe)
I have read 4 1/2 books this past week. I love to read.
I have been knitting military caps. I'm going to try making stocking caps with ear flaps. I heard of a need in Alaska. I've never tried ear flaps so this will be a first for me.
Haven't felt the best recently, but I still get things done.
Our daughter was 40 last Monday and our son will be 36 this coming Monday.
Will try to not wait so long to write next time.
My niece is picking me up for a visit on Tuesday. Really looking forward to that.
Got my hair cut and set this morning. That is always a thing I really enjoy.
