Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

This & that

THIS &THAT
I had my booster pneumonia  shot today.  Spent about an hour an a half with the little kids here in Trimont that calls us Grandma & Grandpa.  Always a joy to be around children.  Cammie (three)  did my hair.  Remembered when our daughter was little and did my hair.Put moist heat on my neck and shoulders.  They are very sore may have to go to the chiropractor.  Bob has been bagging leafs and staying up with them.  What have you been doing?

Round Abouts

ROUND  ABOUT'S
Do you like round about?.  We had to travel to Mankato today as Bob had an eye doctors appointment there.  We both HATE round about's and some how we missed our normal turn and had to do two round about almost right after each other. (STRESSFUL)  Then more stress for Bob as he had the field vision test today.  Doctor said all was well.  Bob felt he didn't do as well with left eye.  Pressure in both eyes were good.

COLORED LEAFS

Colored Leafs
Bob and I decided on the spur of the moment Saturday to go on a drive to view colored leafs; the area (Red Wing) we chose was at their peak.  We knew we were going  to have to stay over night somewhere.  We don't drive after dark.  Well it was just turning dark when we arrived where we planned to stay.  We checked at three different motels and no vacancy.  I asked what was happening. The answer: People from out of the area viewing colored leafs.  So I asked if they could call the next city down the road for us.  They did and we were able to reserve one of the two rooms left there.  The next city was about 30 miles away.  We grabbed a sandwich ,bananas, and some donuts at a Casey's and headed for our room.  Bob had to drive in the dark, but he said it wasn't as bad as before he had his cataract surgery.  I was glad to hear that, but I still was a little afraid.  Anyway we had a good time.

HEALING!

Healing
Bob's knee is feeling better!  He started therapy again and that seems to have helped.  His surgery was back on July 22.  I hope we can keep him from falling anymore.  Update from last post.  Es purchased a caner online from Walmart for $19.21 with tax.  So next year will have my own.  My sugar dropped to 54 early this morning that is always not good.

Activies

Canning!
I have been doing a lot of canning.  I have to borrow a caner, because I sold all my canning utensils.  I have been really enjoying doing it, but find I am exhausted at the end of the day.  So far this is what I have canned: 3 quarts apple butter 4 pints Bing cherry sauce, 13 quarts of apple sauce, 2 pints apple sauce, 32 pints of beets, 4 quarts tomato juice, 13 quarts tomatoes, 2 pints tomatoes, 3 Bing cherry jam, 1 quart watermelon pickles, 5 pints watermelon pickles, 6 1/2 pints strawberry - pineapple jam, 3 pints, carrots, 3 1/2 pints carrots.  I believe I am done for this season unless someone gives me some more carrots.

Freezing!
Also have done some freezing.  This is what I froze: 24 pints sweet corn, 6 pkgs of 6 cups apple, 5 pkgs of 4 cups of zucchini, 6 pints green beans, 2 meals of chicken noodle and veggie soup.

Bob has been putting plastic on the outside of some of our windows.

He has started therapy after about a three week break.  Today he said it felt better after the treatment.  We hope it will continue to feel better.
