Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Authorized King James Version

His Way

"HE LEADETH ME" BY John F. Chaplain

In pastures green? Not always; sometimes He Who knows best, in kindness leads me by weary ways, where heavy shadows be.
Out of the sunshine warm and soft and bright - Out of the sunshine into the darkest night, I oft would faint with sorrow and affright, Only for this - I know He holds my hand; So whether in the green or desert land I trust although I may not understand.

And by still waters? No, not always so, oft-times the heavy tempests round me blow and o'er my soul the water and billows go.
But when the storm is loudest and I cry aloud for help, the Master stands by and whispers to my soul, "Lo it is I." Above the tempest wild I hear Him say,
"Beyond this darkness lies the perfect day; in every path of thine I lead the way."

So whether on the hilltop high and fair I dwell, or in the sunless valley where shadows lay - what matters? He is there!
So where He leads me, I can safely go, And in the blest hereafter I shall know WHY, in His wisdom, He hath led me so.

WHEN I GET TO THE END OF THE WAY!!

Charles D. Tillman

When I get to the end of the way
The sands have been washed in the footprints
Of the stranger on Galilee's shore,
And the voice that subdued the rough billows,
Will be heard in Judea no more.
But the path of that lone Galilean, With joy I will follow today;
And the toils of the road will seem nothing,
When I get to the end of the way.

There are so many hills to climb upward,
I often am longing for rest,
But He who appoints me my pathway
Knows just what is needful and best.
I know in His word He hath promised
That my strength, "it shall be as my day";
And the toils of the road will seem nothing,
When I get to the end of the way.

He loves me too well to forsake me,
Or give me a trial too much;
All His people have been dearly purchased,
And Satan can never claim such.
By and by I shall see Him and praise Him,
In the city of unending day;
And the toils of the road will seem nothing,
When I get to the end of the way.

When the last, feeble step has been taken,
And the gates of that city appear,
And the beautiful songs of the angels
Float out on my listening ear;
When all that now seems so mysterious
Will be bright and as clear as the day,
Then the toils of the road will seem nothing,
When I get to the end of the way.

I praise God that He has brought me to another New Year.
Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you saith the Lord, thoughts of PEACE, and NOT EVIL, to GIVE YOU AN EXPECTED [hope in your latter] END.

Is your hut burning

IS YOUR HUT BURNING?
The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small uninhabited island.
He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but
none seemed forthcoming.
Exhausted, he eventually; managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the
elements, and store his few possessions.
But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his home in flames, the
smoke rolling up to the sky.
The worst thing had happened: everything was lost.
He was stunned with grief and anger.
"God how could you do this to me?" he cried.
Early the next morning, however he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching
the island.
It had come to rescue him.
"How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers.
"We saw your smoke signal." they replied.
It is easy to get discouraged when things are going bad, but we shouldn't loose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain and suffering.
Remember, the next time your little hut is burning to the ground. It just may be a smoke signal that summons the Grace of God.

His Way with Thee

His Way with Thee

Would you live for Jesus and be always pure and good? Would you walk with Him within the narrow road? Would you have Him bear your burden, carry all your load? Let Him have His way with thee.

Would you have Him make you free, and follow at His call? Would you know the peace that comes by giving all? Would you have Him save you, so that you can never fall? Let Him have His way with thee.

Would you in His kingdom find a place of constant rest? Would you prove Him true in providential test? Would you in His service labor always at your best? Let Him have His way with thee.

Chorus: His power can make you what you ought to be, His blood can cleanse your heart and make you free, His love can fill your soul, and you will see 'Twas best for Him to have His way with thee.
