Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

DIFFERENT CAR

DIFFERENT CAR
Bob applied for a loan on Feb. 28  The loan was approved on March 1. We went and signed papers .  Then we picked it up the afternoon of March 1,  from Tim and Dianne Pearson here in Trimont.  The car is a 2001 Buick Park Ave.  It has the same engine as our 1992 Buick Park Ave.  We will keep both vehicles for now.  We went to Fairmont on March 2 and got the title transferred and new tags for it.  We plan to call her Blessing  #2.

NEW YEARS EVE

New Years Eve
Looking back on this year.  Some joys some sadness.  The highlight of this year was celebrating our 5oth wedding anniversary!  Thankful for God drawing Bob and I together.  Also thankful to God for the children He gave us. Thankful for a Heavenly Father who loves us and provides for us daily.

Sleepless again - Coldest night of the yearso far!

Sleepless and Cold
Can't sleep again. That isn't all bad, because I always get a lot done when I can't sleep.  At 2:40 am the actually temperature was  -22  degrees with a windchill of -40 degrees. Church has been cancelled for today , because of the danger of the extreme cold weather.  Last weekend was our first snow storm.  This weekend starting Friday till Saturday noon we got about 7 inches of snow.  There was a lot of wind also.  Yesterday afternoon. (Saturday)   I was setting in our living room writing Christmas cards.  I got 35 finished.  I looked out the window and there was a tractor with a front end loader cleaning our sidewalks.  It was our mayor, Tom Eckmann.  He cleaned a wide path.  Cameron will still have to do our lower sidewalk and also around to the back door, oh and shovel our steps.  Well I just want to say.  I love the beauty of the snow, but really do not like the extreme COLD.

Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving!
We had a very nice Thanksgiving today.  Es made a green bean casserole and we purchased a pumpkin pie from HyVee yesterday.  We took them with us and went to the Thanksgiving meal at the Covenant church here in Trimont.  The meal was great and enjoyed being with some of our friends from there.  Met a few people we didn't know.  We napped and just relaxed the rest of the day at home.

Harvest Home Sunday!

Harvest Home Sunday!
Today we celebrated Harvest Home at Church.  We had a special speaker from Faith Baptist Bible  College of Ankeny, Ia.  He was a Pastor  but, now is a  Professor. ( Dean Taylor)  He spoke in Sunday school-Church-and afternoon service.  He spoke of the many different ways God loves us.  He proved His love for us by taking our sins upon Himself at the cross of Calvary.  He loves us when life is going really well and also when it is hard.  He spoke from out of Romans 5.  The choir sang two specials  in morning service and we choose favorites for afternoon service.  Dixie Hines catered our whole turkey and ham dinner with all the trimmings.  It was a delicious meal and wonderful fellowship.  Es won the centerpiece from our table.  Pastor Fury shared with us that a former intern Pastor Sharpie had passed on to heaven yesterday.

50th Wedding Anniversary

50th Anniversary
Bob and Esther's 50th wedding anniversary was on September 10th.  What a wonderful anniversary to celebrate.  We actually started celebrating about a week early.  Then our children gave us a expense paid trip to Duluth, MN where we spent  2 1/2 days.  We had a very good time.  Friends took us out for lunch in Fairmont at the Channel Inn. Then a surprise party in the park after lunch.  We were both very surprise.  Friends from our neighborhood attended and from our church in Fairmont and a church we attended for about 1 1/2 years in Trimont. We had a wonderful time.  God drew us together and He has truly blessed our lives in so many ways.

Leaks

Leaks
We have had a leak in our small bedroom ceiling.   The owner was down again Monday and put some more tar in different spots.  Also our Pastor and one of the deacons came and did some taring.  We had rain the other night and so far it isn't leaking.  It wasn't a real hard rain through so we need to have a hard rain to see if everything is sealed.  They have worked hard on it.  We appreciate there working on it.
