Collections
I have a few. I once had a mouse collection that I gave my daughter. Not sure if she still has it as she has moved a few times. My collections usually started by wanting to remember a place I had visited. Then some of the collected things were given by friends. I have a clown collection that started when Bob & I spent some time in Door county WI. Several years later it was added to when two of my former roommates and I spent time again in Door county WI. Five of my friends gave me clown dolls so they are named after those friends of course. Then I have a turtle collection. They are a family and all have names. I like to make up stories about the pieces of my collections. I recently got a pelican statue; who knows maybe that is the beginning of a new collection. My daughter got me started on "Precious Moments" thanks Cindy. She worked at a Hallmark store at the time. One of my dear friends gave me a number of other ones. Bob and I have adopted this friend as our other kid along with her husband and son. She is a precious person and has taught me much in her walk of faith. My most treasured collection is not here in my home rather it is in many states and several countries. You ask what collection is that. That is all my FRIENDS that God has allowed me to meet on the road I have traveled called life. I am so thankful that God reached down to me and pulled me to Him. He is my forever friend.

You are so right about friends being a treasured collection - even when they're far away.
