Olympics

We have really enjoyed watching the different events involved with the Olympics. It was exciting, happy, sad, charged,so packed with emotions. We were disappointed that they didn't show the actual extinguishing of the flame. They had the camera on the singer and next time we saw the torch it was out. I thought that was a bad choice.

Dust

I just got my vacuum out. Yes it made me think of dust. If you are like me you wonder. WHERE DID ALL THIS DUST COME FROM? I'm always surprised at how much dust collects in our house. Even more amazed at how fast it appears. Your right we bring some in from outside. When we lived in California a dear friend of ours after his wife passed on said about his house and cleaning "when enough gets carried inside then I'll start carry it back out". I have heard that we human lose 30,000 - 40,000 dead skin cells per minute. Then we lose hair, fibers in our rugs, furniture, bedding, clothes all forms of dust. If you have pets you have even more dust. It is yucky to even think about. Well thats enough thoughts on dust. I need to get busy with my vacuum and swifter. I will turn on our two air purifiers. My niece, Violet and I tease each other about white glove inspections. Violet suggested changing to gray glove inspections. I think gray gloves are a great idea for inspections. Give me about three hours and I should be ready for inspection.

Things I have been doing

I have been enjoying some of the Winter Olympics the events have been exciting to watch. I miss football now that its over for the season. Sometimes I watch golf. Today I spent some time watching birds and also drops of water dripping off the icicles. I finished reading a book I received as a Christmas gift. I enjoy checking different blogs or links I have been told about. Our area has had winds and blowing snow so miss our ladies Bible studies when it is cancelled on Tuesday because it isn't safe to be out on the roads.

He has most of his teeth now. His shirt says "That's it I'm calling Grandpa" We hope to go visit them late summer.

Heartaches and Hidden Tears

I am sure we have all shared them down through our years.
What do I speak of, heartaches and hidden tears.
Where do they come from? No; not out of the blue.
They come from lies that are spun;
When from God's absolutes truths we would run.
They come from not respecting the authority Gods given.
They creep in when by self pride we are driven
Sometime they are caused by unkind words that are spoken;
Or often they come from promises broken.
Oh how they hurt us; what do I speak of, but heartaches and hidden tears. So today bring them to Jesus; hand them over to Him;
For don't ever forget He is the healer of broken hearts and He wipes away tears.

Military Caps

After making 98 baby caps I have switched to making military caps. It takes much longer to make the larger ones, but they are for a good cause. I just finished the second one. It is good being busy making for others in need. Please support our troops in any way you can.
